It's not fair for a Building to receive
extra money for attendance. Because my building calls in all the time
I'm being penalized from getting extra money. (3/4/2008 2:40 PM)
The incentive bonus was based on the Covey
information. Attendance was just a part of that information. The awards
were based on the unit performance.

Where can a person look on the intranet
to find the policies for how comp. time is earned, distributed and paid?
Why is comp time not shown on the electronic pay stub as other times are

Please see DHR policy 1001 (Fair Labor Standards Act). If the FLSA/Comp leave is entered into the payroll system, it should show on the check stub. |

How do I obtain my insurance cards?

He or she may call the insurance company and have them reissue him or
her a new insurance card. He or she could also visit the website
of the insurance carrier, register, and print a temporary ID card.

(10/15/2007 11:57 AM) According to the Georgia Hospital Association, Georgia's hospitals charge anywhere from $940 to $2,881 per day for psychiatric diagnoses (from social problems to mental retardation) and depending upon length of stay. Each person is responsible for his or her own hospital bills. Clients will typically have private insurance, Medicare or Medicaid to help with costs. |

| What is the difference between classified and unclassified employee (8/25/2007 12:48 PM) 'Classified service' means that employment status conferring rights of appeal, as set forth in Code Sections 45-20-8 and 45-20-9. 'Classified service' includes only those employees of state departments were in the classified service as of June 30, 1996, and who have remained in classified positions without a break in service since that date. 'Unclassified service' means employment at will. |

3:28 AM) Go to https://route88.state.ga.us. Enter your employee id and password. Click on Employee Self Service on the left. Under Employee Self Service, click on Payroll and Compensation Home. In the middle of the page, click on the link that says View Paycheck. |

Do you have a place for an alcoholic that
continues to relapse and has memory loss and possible brain damage?
(6/10/2007 4:42 PM) The primary mission of the acute units and CSH is the stabilization of psychiatric illness. We do serve persons with substance abuse problems when in acute crisis, but the focus of this treatment is short-term stabilization not long-term rehabilitation. There are many resources in the community including the Community Service Board, residential substance abuse rehabilitation programs, and substance abuse support groups. | How many clients are living on campus? How many beds does the hospital have? (2/2/07) Forensic Services current total number of operating beds (beds normally set-up and staffed) is 168. The Adult Mental health Program has 96 operating beds. The C&A Program operates 28 beds. On June 30, 2006, the average daily client census of the facilities that currently comprise DDS was 502. |

If an employee works in an area where the training would be of benefit to CSH consumers, and his/her supervisor writes a letter of justification and/or recommendation, the request for CNA training would be reviewed and considered. | What is the recovery model? The mental health Recovery Model is a treatment concept wherein a service environment is designed such that consumers have primary control over decisions about their own care. This is in contrast to most traditional models of service delivery, in which consumers are instructed what to do, or simply have things done for them with minimal, if any, consultation for their opinions. The Recovery Model is based on the concepts of strengths and empowerment, saying that if individuals with mental illnesses have greater control and choice in their treatment, they will be able to take increased control and initiative in their lives. |

| Can you take your regular weekend of using annual time? And is there a policy that you can take your weekend that you have to work off with your vacation? I need the vacation policy and have read the policies and I cannot find a policy about vacation time. Click here for policies. Search for information concerning annual leave instead of vacation. |
| What type treatment do you have for patients with manic depression or bipolar disorder? Central State Hospital is an inpatient facility. Each patient is assessed by a physician for appropriateness of admission and treatment modalities. |

| If some one passed away approximately 55 years ago at Central State Hospital, could a child request medical records? Yes. They would have to obtain a court order in which on any deceased client, records can be obtained with a court order. | What happened to Channel 8 on the CSH TV station??? I thought it was suppose to be Ga. Public Broadcasting?? All channels are on at this time. We had some problems with high temperature in equipment, which effects the output of channels to the system. The channel line up has been changed, and will be posted when all new equipment is installed. 1/30/07 |
